5th edition of Pomeranian Open Science Conference
The fifth edition of Pomeranian Open Science Conference will be held on December 1-3, 2021 in the Gdańsk University of Technology. Research data management (RDM) and data sharing is gaining in importance dynamically. Dedicated tools and services supporting these processes have an impact on the development of world science. The conference theme „Services based on Collaboration” aims to:
- summarize activities to date in the area of RDM with tools and services supporting them,
- discuss the development directions of this kind of services, and, as a result,
- establish a national working group under the patronage of the GO FAIR and the MOST Danych (Bridge of Data) project, bringing together specialists in the field of data management and data stewardship from various Polish research units.
There are two workshops scheduled on the first and the last day of the conference:
- dedicated to the people starting theirs adventure with Open Research Data and
- an introduction of the Data Steward Competence Centers PL (DSCC-PL) Working Group, the first national initiative addressed to data stewards and all those, who deal with RDM in their daily work.
This scientific conference will feature prominent Polish researchers as well as papers by speakers who will share their experience in the field of Open Science and research data management.
