The Portfolio Management Office was established in order to cooperate with the Gdansk University of Technology units in obtaining funds from Structural Funds and International Programs as well as National Research Projects.

The Portfolio Management Office's tasks include:

  • searching, collecting and archiving information about the possibilities, rules for obtaining and accounting for national and EU funds for the University;
  • providing information for publications and supervising the content of the Gdańsk University of Technology website in the scope of tasks of the Office;
  • providing individual advice to employees in the field of obtaining and accounting for national and EU funds in particular areas of the University's functioning;
  • preparing formal appendices of the applications for co-financing, in the field of central administration, in close cooperation with the requesting entity;
  • support in completing the formal part of the application;
  • giving opinions on the substantive part of the application - providing comments, tips and proposals regarding the proper completion of the substantive part of the application and the project budget;
  • coordinating the application's circulation at the University;
  • preparing, in cooperation with organizational units of the central administration, proposals for detailed rules for the implementation and settlement of projects co-financed from national and EU funds;
  • keeping a register of projects implemented by the University;
  • controlling promotional and information obligations imposed on the project manager by the co-financing agreement;
  • coordinating work on preparation and cooperation with central administration units in the scope of implementation and settlement of central projects of Gdańsk University of Technology recognized as priority ones by the authorities of the University;
  • informing the head of the applicant unit, the project manager and the relevant vice rector about the current status of the application and project;
  • preparing periodic reports on the number of applications submitted, the funds allocated and the progress of projects under implementation;
  • ongoing monitoring of projects carried out at the Gdańsk University of Technology - monitoring the correctness of project implementation in accordance with the guidelines;
  • monitoring the sustainability of projects in accordance with the guidelines
  • promoting International Programs and the Structural Fund by organizing trainings and conferences, as well as providing current information on external trainings and conferences.

The Office runs a project titled Regional Contact Point for the EU Framework Program Horizon Europe. It supports entities from Pomorskie and Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodships in their participation in Horizon Europe (www.rpkgdansk.pl).
