Gdansk University of Technology was ranked second in the country and the highest among technical universities in the competition "Initiative of Excellence - Research University". The aim of the competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education was to select and support 10 best universities, which will become research centers and will be able to effectively compete with the best universities in Europe and in the world.
